Slow cooked Chinese beef with noodles.

INGREDIENTS Serves 4

Per serving 340 kcal 45.1 g carbs 4.7 g fat 27.6 g protein


2 tsp Chinese five spice

150 g / 3 dried noodle nests

1 vegetable stock cube dissolved in 100 ml water

2 tbsp fish sauce

4 tbsp dark soy sauce

4 tbsp light soy sauce

2 carrots peeled and chopped

360 g raw beef strips

2 tbsp cornflour

400 g can of beansprouts


To serve.

Chopped fresh coriander


Add everything but the noodles, beansprouts and cornflour to the slow cooker and give it a good stir.

Cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 4 hours. Half an hour before the end of cooking mix the cornflour with a little water to make a paste and stir into the beef mixture. Also add the beansprouts.

Cook the noodles according to the pack instructions. Drain and add when the beef has finished cooking. Give it a good stir. Serve with chopped fresh coriander.
